Default heating issues/ac condensor/thermostat

ok got a serious problem this past summer i rebuilt the top end of my motor but at the same time i took out the ac condensor and never put it back in.now i have no heat! a tech had told me to replace the thermostat to get the heat back in my car bc the tech says the ac condensor has nothing to do with the heat! does the ac condensor run to the heater core in any way? bc i have already replace the thermostat and still no heat. last i remember the heater core in my car was still good and putting out heat with no problem.

can anyone give me a picture diagram on the heating systems for 94-95 subie's or just tell me how the heating system works in proper sequence ,thank you.
