Default BMW M3 "Leather Edition"

Quote:
The more we live, the more we learn. Today we discovered that there's a tuning firm in Germany called Zwickenpflug - not the best name-choice for an international career. Zwickenpflug's latest creation is the BMW M3 'Leather Edition' which as its name suggests, boasts an interior that has been covered from top-to-bottom with suede and smooth black leather with M-Sport tri-color accent stitching. The German tuner has also added to the mix a set of 19-inch BBS alloy wheels and a new ECU that gives the M3's 4.2-liter V8 a 25-horsepower bump for an overall output of 445HP.

Yeah but at least a 25 hp bump in the Fit would be reasonable!

I threw up in my mouth.
Why would you want to pay for this crap when you could use that money for other worthwhile enhancements?

agreed. the non-purists (majority of BMW buyers) may want to spend extra to have a car that is just enough more unique/exclusive than your common ordinary M3.

My two kids could knock $20,000 off that car's resale value in 5 minutes with just a juice box, a fruit filled cereal bar and some raisins.

What's wrong with upgrading the interior of your car? How is that not "worthwhile"? I'm no fan of leather interiors, but if someone wants to take a nice car and make it nicer, I fail to see the problem with that.

i think it actually looks pretty nice..if anything..i'd want a leather or sueded dash..much better than cheap a** plastic.

that being said..at what cost would this come?

leather seats make you:
-slide when you turn
-freeze when its cold
-burn when its hot
-sweat like a pig

but it looks good though!

I always laugh, when people say stuff like this. Spilled kid goop will soak into your precious cloth, while it will wipe off of the leather that so many haters scoff at.

If people don't like leather for actual good reasons, that's one thing. But leather is skin. Is it easier to clean a spill off of your hand, or your shirt? Problem solved. You want easy care, you get vinyl or leather seats.

And I love how the people tooling around in cars with blue and pink seats, are whining about how the inside of this ///M looks.
