Since it's only a one day event, I was just planning on driving up there the morning of. The Days Inn was cheap..like 54$ a night. If y'all are getting a room for Friday night, I'll split it with you.

There's a gas station right next to the Days inn. Matt C. and I were walking around with 40's (in brown bags) looking for Chad's room. I think we woke some kids up with our laughing, too...don't remember. Nothing too disorderly. I wasn't really drunk, just tired.

Not crazy like Camden, though. That was passed-out in the middle of the street, doing the robot in McDonalds, jumping in a pool fully clothed, winning a 12-round decision against a vending machine, setting the homepage of the Hotel's courtesy computer to a pron site and acting like a zombie in the hall ways good times!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway..back on topic.

A tip for the people who missed this event in Sept:
Get there early! I mean..like when they open up early (6-6:30). If you wait until 7am...you are going to be so far down the perimeter road you might as well bring a bicycle because it's a trek to the course.
Imagine the Orangeburg AX...and having the paddock at the McDonalds. Tons of time wasted walking back and forth.

The earlier you get there, the closer you park on the road (less you walk).

If any of you guys want to drive up to Columbia Friday night with me, you're more than welcome to stay at my folks place. They are out of town so we've got 2 empty beds. That way Saturday morning we only have to drive a little over an hour to the site.

Due to popular demand, and the fact that we have a very small window of time in which to set up this weekend's course (so we need something we're familiar with), we have decided to re-use the "Sunday" course from the Black Lake Shootout exactly as-is.

We heard a lot of positive feedback about this course, but while we usually do not like to do the same course twice, this will be a big help to our course setup folks.

(Please note - the event is still on Saturday; I'm just lazy and didn't take the "Sunday" caption off the image below.)

Will our golden retriever be allowed at the facility if she's on a leash? We don't have anyone to watch her for the day, so if she can't go neither will my girlfriend.

My 17 y.o. bro wants to come to this and watch. Where do I send him to get that minor waiver that he needs to get signed?
