Default k&n oil filter compatibility

I work at carquest, and I found an extra k&n oil filter here that's not in our stock. it's part number is HP-1004. I am curious if this will fit my 02wrx. the base gaskets look the same compared to the filter for my car, but I wasn't sure. has anyone used this number before???

For working at an auto parts outfit, your ability to crossover part numbers, sucks! The filter you are inquiring about crosses over to fit six cylinder Subaru's, not four cylinders.

ha. well i knew it didn't cross to any of the filters listed to work on my car, I was just curious. all i knew was teh base gasket was the same size. thanks tho! our catalog and cross reference at Carquest HAS to be the worst of any of the parts stores.
