you can get the tow hook bracket on 3gwrx
good thing they are trying to get rid of the front plate law in IL. i also see no point in that, and it looks like it would create more airflow problems than if it were in the stock location. among the other grips posted

EDIT: I've gotten alot of PM's about the STi Headlights so i thought i would post this here as well. Yes, the STi HID headlights are a DIRECT swap (100% plug and play). I got them from a NASIOC forum member parting his WRX back to stock.

I got them on here for $600. Kinda high IMO but its the first complete set i have come across in months of looking. The leveling stuff is on the headlight, but i dont have the switch or wiring. No need really, u can adjust them with a screwdriver in seconds.

Thanks. I had no idea how much they go for. If I were to spend that much, I'd be anal about getting the interior leveling switch all wired in. But you're right, it's not that hard to level them by hand. It'd just be nice for the OEM+ ness...

i agree, i haven't decided if i want to keep them though. Seeing as no one wants my modded WRX headlights i might just keep them around if they aren't bought and see how good i am at retro-ing some TSX projectors in there. If that would happen, id end up re-selling the STi lights.

For a 3rd owner discount to ME right? just kidding.
Keep me updated on what you do. I'd like to know how much it costs to run the leveling wiring to the interior if you go that route...
And I'd also be interested to see the price comparison for TSX projector retro-fits.

It bugs the hell outta me that Subaru (amoung others) puts blank buttons where funtional buttons would normally go for certain optional features (like the leveling switch). Can't they just have a WRX specific dash and an STI specific dash? I don't wanna know I'm missing something. Lol.

Slightly on the same topic, anyone know if there's a way to illuminate via LED's any of the interior buttons that appear as though they should illuminate? (like the child lock window button, the passenger window button, the A.C./heater vents, the buttons of the Homelink Rearview mirror...etc.?)

for those with the aftermarket nav/hu do the steering wheel controls still work, or do you have to get a interface?

just seems a little pointless to have steering wheel controls that are functionless. is there a write up on how to do it?

It's not very difficult.. just a little tedious. I used the PAC Audio SWI-JACK. Basically just follow the SWI-JACK directions, and tap into the SWC (+) for the signal and ground the SWC (-), then connect the SWI-JACK to the remote input of your new stereo.

Just wondering how you got the tray light to be red instead of the stock blue? That blue doesn't look right with the rest of the red lights. And yeah, I've been gone for a while. Just got a '10 Outback Sport.

its an easy swap. You just need to order that same part but for the STi and it comes in red. then u just pop off the trim holding it in underneath, and swap it out. takes 2 mins.

Hate to bug you about this, but I just talked to the dealership parts guy, and he said it's the same part number for all of the Imprezas. Is there possibly an online place I can order it? I've looked at the ones I know of, but can't find it.
