Default Rallting noise with WOT HELP!?!?

Hey guys i just recently noticed a rattling noise coming under the car the car runs perfectly fine and has no performance issue but when i open it up it sounds it sounds like rattling loose change. i can hear it very faint inside the car. Could this be an exhaust leak? I have no clue what it is any help is appreciated thanks

Yup, pinging and detonation. Very bad for...well, everything. Don't allow it. If you hear it, back off the throttle. Ensure you are up to date on all the usual maintenance if the car is all stock, and/or see a specialist if it needs a "tune" if it is modded out. Also, check for fuel quality (switch stations, always run Premium, etc.).

I was riding with my wife in her Saab Turbo, I kept yelling at her because it was pinging so badly...looks like a bad boost control solenoid in conjunction with poor quality gas...it also needed a fuel filter badly, and after changing the filter it improved, and was nearly eliminated with better gas. Cleaning the BCS cured the rest.

Definitely follow the advice above, but since you say the sound is coming from under the car (as opposed to from the engine bay) and if the sound is only apparent at certain RPMS (regardless of which gear you're in) then it could be heatshield or other exhaust compnent rattle. You could recreate this in neutral and have a friend lie under the car to try to pinpoint the noise as you slowly increase throttle.

This would be more of a matallic ting than loose change, but onomatopoeia is a b***h.
