Default Weight of stock 07 rims?

Searched and didn't find an answer.

I need another set of rims for my summer tires: preferably lighter than the OEM rims on my 09, which I understand are 22 or 23 lbs each.

Does anyone know what the weight of the stock [WRX] 07 rims is? It appears the 06 rims the same?

Are the BBS rims those years also 17x7?

Most of the aftermarket rims won't work for me as I have to keep 17x7 and close to the stock 55mm offset for SCCA Solo II.

The Legacy five spoke rims are just under 18lbs, while the five spokes that came on my 06 OBW weighed 24 lbs, so it's hard to guess.

05+ STI's have 5x114 bolt pattern so they wont fit (they're 8" wide, too). 04 STi has 5x100 and are 17x7.5 and light. If you want somelight wheels in 17x7 with close to stock offsets, check out the OZ Supperleggeras. They are like 15.2 lbs a peice. I have them and love them, but they are discontinued. You could chech out the new Ultraleggeras, but i'm not sure if they are 7" wide.

Your best bet is 04 STI BBS forged wheels which weigh about 16.5-17lbs.

06-07 WRX wheel weighs about 21lbs in comparison.

How do I know? I used to have 06 WRX wheels until I upgraded to 04 STI BBS.

Try http://www.tirerack.com. I bought a set of Kosei K1-TS for my old WRX from them. Under 15 pounds, you won't find many wheels that are as light as them in their price range.

Just what I wanted to know! Thanks!

Most aftermarket wheels are 48mm offset so they're not legal for Stock.

Ruh-roh. Looks like th e04 STi BBS's are 7.5" wide, so that's a no-go.

What's the going price for a set of early STi BBS's in good shape? Guy locally is asking $1,200.

Did you not read my post

$1200 seems kinda expensive unless they have good, brand new tires on them. What kind of tires come with them?
