I might suggest some sort of gears. Looks like you've got the clutch and flywheel taken care of. Maybe some cryo-treated RA's, or a 6-speed swap, or ppg's or m-factory's. Seems like that is the only area needing some beefing up.

You could get some coilovers...

Or maybe seats, harness bar and harnesses.

idk...

The first things I would do would be get different springs and throw that HID kit in the trash, but since this is a powertrain forum I'd assume you mean power related. The things I would do next would be a TGV delete and intake and throttle body porting. It won't make that much of a difference but it's about all you have left.

New turbo? meth? really if you want more power, you should know what needs to be done. Turbo/Injectors/FMIC/tune.

What are your goals and budget...both key to giving you intelligent responses. Until then, I vote custom Borg Warner turbo set-up with propane injection since that's never been done.

i say get CP/JE/Wiseco forged pistons (whichever is in your budget) and toss an evo3 16g on there. Its the perfect turbo for the 2.0l imo. It will feel like a WHOLE different car and pull like a monster. You thought the vf34 was nice? toss this on and youll be grinning like a kid with candy. And i agree with everyone that said toss some gears on there too. I myself have a built 4eat and love it, but in ur 5mt swap, ppgs may be overkill, again imo, get a RA gear set.

either turbo/fuel injectors and wait for gearbox to go...... or m factory gears/ppgs if you find them used. Then go turbo/fuel injectors.

No seriously......tranny. Why have so much to play with and not be able to.

RAs suck (the new ones at least), MFactory ratios are ridiculous for anything other than Rally/Auto-x, and PPG are Money. Pick your poison.

I hope you don't honestly think that you're going to see 400whp reliably with anywhere NEAR $2k.....

And you STILL haven't listed your goals. A 'well-rounded' car means different things to different people.

EWG setup, boost solenoid, alk and a good tune. You can also get an sti shortblock for $1700, install it yourself and get a tune... That's if you can
