Default How to get permission for limo tint?

I remember my dad had windows darker than limos, he has 3% in his car.. but he has permission for it. I dont speak to my dad and haven't seen him in years, so I want to ask the OT, how can you obtain this permission for having your windows tinted so dark?

Have a medical condition and basically get a dr's note. OT has a tendency to get into your business, but hey, you put it out there. Seriously, talk to you dad. I reconnected with my father after about a 21 year disconnect, and he died 4 months later

Seriously, just sign the waiver at the tint place saying that you're only using it for show purposes and get the tint. I had 5% tint in California for four years and never once got pulled over for it.

And talk to your father.

Why do you want your windows so dark? To hide from your father? That makes me sad

I wish your father would lighten his windows so he could see you and, in turn, you would roll your windows down (this, instead of making them dark) so you could see him.....a hug would be a great way to end this battle....please...don't let tint stand in the way of what could be a domestic.

Well obviously his priorities aren't correct, or he'd be talking to his father about it.

I feel bad for the OP. His priorities are skewed:

1. Looking Cool in his car
2. his father
3. Posting good threads in OT

I've never had to sign a waiver. One place asked if I was a cop, that was basically it. If you get pulled over you'll have to get it taken off and pay $10.

The place I had it done had a waiver to absolve them of all responsibility. Apparently if it's traced back to the tint shop they get a hefty fine for doing something they know is illegal.
