Default EJ20G Short Block with spun rod bearing

Hi I have an EJ20G short block (JDM 1995 Ver.II STi) with a spun rod bearing. It still ran when it was taken out. However DSG said it was definitely a rod bearing problem.

Right now the block is just collecting dust in my garage. If anyone has any use for it PM me an offer.

Also any help would be appreciated in finding a scrap yard that will give me the most money for this hunk of aluminum.

Thank you! -Alex

congowrx throw me an offer... what you think is fair...

Just to clarify since I don't think every one knows this is NOT a closed deck block. It is open deck... So if you are looking at this for a closed deck block this is NOT IT!!!

The EJ20G in the Ver.II STi did NOT have a closed deck block... other models had a EJ20G closed deck like the automatic wagons and I believe the STi RA (or a special odored one).

metal prices are in the toilet. You can check, but back in the peak (spring) it was 50 cents a pound at the place on 135 in Framingham. Steel has gone from $250 a ton to $30 a ton. I haven't brought anything since the spring (I convert my boat trailer to haul it all) so don't know. Maybe I'll bring the 50 pounds of aluminum I have on the way to work tomorrow just to find out what it's going for.....

Hey, I got your PM and I'm still thinking about it. If there are no other offers and it's more than scrap. I will surely let you know. Your offer is a bit low, and my friend got 100 bucks for his ej205 block from the scrap yard this summer. I just want to get the most money I can for it because I'm strapped for cash and I'm going to the most expensive city in the world for a month. BTW I'm leaving on Christmas day, so you can make me a new offer or I'll let you know by the end of the week. sound good?

Brought in all my aluminum this morning. Take the offer. It's down to 10 cents a pound. That's what I got for steel in the spring. In March, aluminum was 50 cents a pound (last time I brought it in).
