Default Inexpensive lug nuts that don't suck?

I'm not looking to drop $60+ on a set of lug nuts for this particular project of mine. Does anyone have info on decent cone-seat lug nuts fitting 02 WRX studs properly?

Well, there are several classes as with most things.

* Cheap crap that will last 6 months
* Midrange/Enthusiast ($?? - $90)
* Best at any cost (titanium, etc $220+)

How could lug nuts suck:
* Rust easily
* Cheap material used, lug nut breakage
* Poor quality control

Gorilla will probably do nicely.

stay away from the muteki's.....

they won't look like this in a year

btw, I replaced these muteki's with mcgards.... (I'll sell you the muteki's for $20)

I would highly recommend the Mcgard spline drive lugs for your application. We are constantly changing wheels on our cars and these lugs are amazing. They are steel plated which provides an extremely durable finish that does not chip/flake like painted or anodized lugs. They also feature a two piece design which protects the wheel finish and provides even torque. Best of all they are affordable!!

Here's how they look in black

Send me a PM if you are interested in a set, we stock a wide variety of colors for the Mcgard lineup.

I have that exact set already on MY car. Probably too expensive for this other particular need.

On my rally car (VW), I run yellow chromate lug nuts from the local auto parts store. They don't seem to rust at all, although I don't know if they come in 12x1.25 thread.

+1 McGard.

Aren't they only in the $60-$70, around what OP is willing to spend?
