Default drastic effect???

I'm currently running black powder coated 16x7 Konig Britelites on my Stage 2 (completely open, about to be monster ported 16G) Bugeye. I am trading them for some 17x7.5 Rota Formels (gold). I'm pretty psyched about the wheel change however, my Britelites tip the scales at 15 lbs. and the Formels tip it at 20.5 lbs. That's 5.5 lbs per wheel for a total 22 lbs of rotating unsprung weight. I daily drive my car and hit the twisty mountain roads here in the upstate of South Carolina and Western North Carolina on weekends. Is the change going to be drastic? Do I need to prepare myself for the purchase of some lite wheels in the near future? Sorry about the book...didn't want to get flamed about leaving some important detail out. Thanks for your help.

Yes, you will feel the added weight of the wheels and larger tires. Accelleration will suffer.

What about turn in...I imagine that if the accelleration is effected that turning response will suffer also. Does 20.5 sound excessive or average for 17's?

Either stick with the 16's or find lighter 17's.
