Default 05 Wrx CBE on 98 OBS....

Hey so my axle back finally **** the bed on my 98 OBS winter beater while playing in a field. i have the stock cat back exhaust off my 05wrx sitting in my basement and im ganna be fitting it on my wagon tomorrow. iv been researching and getting many different answerers. so far i know im going to have to cut and move the flange. im also going to remove the resonator because while im down there cutting already i figured why not. i have some 2.25in pipe im going to use in place of the resonator. i think that’s about it but has anyone done this mod or would it be just easier to keep the resonator and switch the flange angle? I have access to welding equipment and cutting tools ext.
Thanks

You might have to extend the centerpipe. I know on 06/07 wrx vs 2.5i's, the wrx centerpipe is shorter than the 2.5i centerpipe, this is why 2.5i's owners need to extend WRX/STI centerpipes when they put WRX/STI CBE's on their cars.
