Default (EDIT: SEE FIRST POST FOR DIRECTIONS FOR) Mini Meet at Bradus' House - April 21st

Hi everyone

In preparation for the mini-meet / garage day / cookout at my house this coming Sunday, please read the following information. Food list is first, followed by general information, followed by directions.

BTW, please plan on bringing a foldup chair or something to sit on if you would prefer not to have to stand all afternoon. I do have 3 or 4 outdoor chairs but that's it.

Cheers!

FOOD LIST
- steak tips (BRADUS)
- 8 garlic cheese sausage (BRADUS)
- burgers (2 or 3 packs of 4 from Market Basket?) - Slvrblt (BURGERS) Mikey B (BURGERS)
- more sausage (Italian, or just plain franks) - JGARD (2 PACkS DOGS)
- bread for burgers and hotdogs - SUBARURABBIT (BURGER BUNS) Mad-dog999 (HOTDOG BUNS)
- sliced cheese for burgers (pack of 20 slices should suffice) - SUBARURABBIT
- tomato (4) and onion (2) for burgers - NEEDED

- vegitarian food - RAJITO (Indian food - yum!) XSTAR (Veggie Burgers) GABRIELA (Pasta Salad)

GENERAL INFO
Place: My house, 20 Carty Circle, North Andover, MA 01845
Time: 12:00noon until the food and drink run out or when all business transactions have been completed
Food: I'm thinking burgers, franks, steak tips, chips, soda, beer, plus whatever else you think of. I'll have disposable plates and cups, napkins, etc. If 15-20 (or more?) people turn up as have indicated they will, then some contribution of food and drink would be appreciated.
Entertainment: Besides Sean and Roger, I'll have a PS2 hooked up as well a CD player for music - Andrew had mentioned some European techno.
Tools: Yes please! I have a limited number of tools on hand for people to use. If you have stuff - ramps would be good - please bring them.
Speed limit: On the highway, drive the way you like. But when in Carty Circle - which consists of 6 houses - please note that the house across from me has 2 small children who frequent the street on their bikes. They're pretty observant of traffic but you never know. Let's all be safe - thanks.
Parking: Should not be a problem. My drive has room for 4-6 cars (2 rows of 3) and I have additional space along the front lawn. In addition, the circle itself has more than enough room for ~10 cars so we should be in good shape. We'll figure it out as we go.
Neighbors: All good sorts. I help pick up ALL their leaves in the fall with my sooper-dooper cyclone rake (an attachment for my tractor) so they usually give me a break with large crowds. That having been said, I do have to live next to them after you've all gone so if you can adhere to the speed limit notice above (when in Carty Circle) there should be no problem.

DIRECTIONS
Directions from points east or west using I-495:
1. The exit number you're looking for is 42A, which is for RT-114 east (Middleton/N. Andover).
2. Follow RT-114 (east) toward Middleton/N. Andover - you'll do so for about 1-mile, during which time you'll pass by a Market Basket and Kohl's store on your left, and (as you head further up the hill) a Boston Market on your right.
3. As you pass by Boston Market and through the set of traffic lights at the same location, you'll see that RT-114 expands into 2-lanes; get in the left hand lane at that point.
4. Be prepared to take a left at the next set of lights on to Peters Street. As you turn left, you'll see a Burger King and Rocky's Ace Home store on your right.
5. At the next set of lights, go straight ahead. Peter's Street has now become Andover Street.
6. After approximately 1/4-mile, you'll see a sign for FRANKLIN SCHOOL.
7. SLOW THE HECK DOWN AT THIS POINT BECAUSE...
8. Carty Circle is 20 yards further ahead on the right.
9. Turn right into Carty Circle.
10. Number 20 - my house - is the light yellow house with green shutters and, depending on the time you arrive, anywhere between 1 and 20 Subarus parked on and around the property.

Directions from points south using I-93:
1. The exit number from I-93 is exit 41 "RT-125 to Andover / N. Andover."
2. Stay on RT-125 for approximately 6 miles.
3. RT-125 eventually meets up with RT-114. At the traffic lights where they meet, be in either of the two lanes heading left (west) on RT-114.
4. Keep in the right hand lane after turning left - you'll be passing Royal Crest Estates on your right and Merrimack College on your left.
5. At the next set of traffic lights, turn right - Bertuchi's and Ethan Allen on your left as you turn.
6. At the next set of lights, turn right onto Andover Street.
7. After approximately 1/4-mile, you'll see a sign for FRANKLIN SCHOOL.
8. SLOW THE HECK DOWN AT THIS POINT BECAUSE...
9. Carty Circle is 20 yards further ahead on the right.
10. Turn right into Carty Circle.
11. Number 20 - my house - is the light yellow house with green shutters and, depending on the time you arrive, anywhere between 1 and 20 Subarus parked on and around the property.

Directions from points nouth using I-93:
1. Head south until the exit for I-495 north.
2. Then follow directions for travel from points east or west using I-495 (above).

Other information:
If you need to contact me for additional directions (or any other matter) on the 21st, call my cell phone @ 978-590-0289.
PM me if you want my home number - I'd prefer not to post it on the Internet if I don't have to.

See you all on the 21st - I'm looking forward to this! Oh, and if I've forgotten anything, PM me or post back here.

Cheers!
David

I am leaving my house in NH early to be there . Man Florida is nice, but a 24 car meet just doesnt make me feel special NESIC rules! Count me in!

Get ready to laugh at me. I have Golfers tan.

Golfers Tan = white chest, and bisepts. Tanned Forearms with my right hand tanned, and my left hand white from no sun due to the golf glove.

Cool! The only events listed for that day are CMC events and CART events down in CT, so that day looks like a good day that most NESIC guys won't be able to weasel out of! Count us in! Don't worry, we'll bring all the leftover hotdogs and hamburgers from our...uhm...nevermind...

Fear the Trunkmonkey. There is no cone.

Well, I may show up as a first timer :-)

Just got my WRX a few weeks ago so I am on the lookout for locals to hang with...

I may not be able to make it depending on how far I get in putting back together my VW Rabbit (need to finish it before show/race season, and I need the weekends to work on it)...

Hope to see you guys there...

Hey Mike! It's me Sean, Ed's friend! What's up dude? You have any stuff you wanna sell for the WRX? PM me or send me an e-mail!

Hmmm. Anyone feel like replacing my entire exhaust system with Brullen? I'd love to come, its only a half hour from my house, and I know a kid with an RS in Andover, hope he sees the post.

Hope you don't mind I'm 17.

Hi all,

Glad to see so many of you will be able to make it; should be a fun day.

Schleppy: you are more than welcome to come - this goes for anyone else new to NESIC. Oh, and if you can hook up with JGard18, do so and follow him. That way you'll know at least one person prior to arriving.

xstar: change your plans man, a NESIC minimeet is way better than anything else you could be away for.

Slvrblt: any and all tools are welcome. I only have a few so anything you have - including ramps - are welcome.

Kha0S: edible kittens are great. My dog Hamish will love you for it. He eats cats too.

Fishguy: yes, bring your beer! I don't have to drive anywhere at the end of the day (this time) so I'll be happy to help consume my fair share this time around.

DeusExMachina: no problem, come on down. Fishguy will have some Lowell Brewhouse "Root Beer" for you to drink.

subarurabbit: Horlicks? For gawd's sake, I want beer, not hot chocolate. Coleman's mustard or good British beer is welcome at all times.

rajito: as I mentioned at the beginning of my post, I'll send a reminder out nearer the time. I just wanted to be sure and give advance notice.

Significant others welcome (Iggdawg, Webkris (if he comes), Sean) take note. My wife hasn't decided if she's going to hang around or not but if some other females were coming, she might be persuaded/arm twisted, etc.

Cheers!

in the case of significant others, I'll see if mine is willing to come, she's usually game if she knows there will be other females in attendance.

so anything specific you need me to bring? granted it's still a few weeks away, but it doesn't hurt to prepare and no I wasn't a boy scout- it'd be just as suitable for me to bring some blades and I would hunt for my food, but then again, that's because I'm just not all there sometimes

speed safely

I'm planning on attending, so make sure SWMBO hangs around. I'll also require a fair amount of Fishy's beer......it helps all the car talk go down easier.

Thanks Brian, but I haven't given much thought to that side of my planning yet. Rest assured that I'll post a list of stuff nearer the time that I'd like people to bring.

Bradus,

I'll see about Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout or their Nut Brown. Is Boddington's on your "A list"? I can get that in a can in Ipswich.

My friend wants to come along, he doesn't have a Scooby cuz his parents suck.

I can bring whatever, too, just let me know. As long as there is room in my car from carrying the exhaust around.
