Default Weird Idling problem..

My car is idling at about 2k at all times now and I have no idea what the problem is. Someone told me to try the coolant tempeture sensor, but my gauge still works. I dunno. Sometimes it'll idle a little bit normal when I first start it up in the morning, like around 1k. Anyone else have this problem?

I am not an expert on this, but my guess is the coolant temp sensor. The fact that the car idles high is normal, but the fact that the idle doesn't drop after the car gets to operating temperature isn't. Got me beat. Sorry.

unplug that sensor and see if anything changes. your fans will kick on constant and you'll get a CEL, but see if it works.
