Default If you arent busy the next few days- you can volunteer & be on TV

Extreme Makeover Home Edition is shooting an episode here in Eastern CT as we speak... I believe they are still looking for volunteers. I want to volunteer, but unfortunately have engagements both work & personal that I can not reschedule..

Here is the site for information about if you want to go see the site while they are filming or volunteer..

And here is the family that is being helped. It really is a tragic situation...

I just found out a Coworkers neighbor is the mason on the job... And roads around my house are apparently closed off and traffic is being re-routed right near my house... That will make me a little grumpy because i live on back roads that NEVER see traffic..

EDIT: I live about 4 miles from where this is happening.

Yeah this one really sucked ass. The dad and the boy were life-starred out from the field across the street from me, and they both passed away. Traffic is going to suck, but its for a good cause. Hope they have a new house for Xmas.

I'm guessing it is a medical helicopter. Typically only used for very dire emergencies.

Ahh.
That makes sense.
I guess I would have realized what he was referring to if I had read the link in the OP.

Bingo....medical chopper took the boy out. Drove by last night, they have the whole place light up like a Christmas tree, working around the clock.

I've always wanted to be on that show to be able to help people and I love working with my hands.

Maybe I'll make a trip down if it doesn't end to soon.

I would suggest anyone who is in that area to jump on this opportunity to help those in need. I was a volunteer for the show when they did a house in Wells, Maine and it was one of the best experiences in my life. Definitely a great thing to be involved in.
