Default Mitsubishi's Ralliart Lancer for the 2009 Dakar

Hmmm, would love to have one of these. Wonder how a Forester would look in similar trim.

I think i'll wander into my local mitsubishi dealer this weekend and purchase one of these wonderful machines.

Kudos to Mitsubishi for still participating in some racing, but this seems an odd marriage to say the least.

Here is some video:

Its interesting how they combine significant ground clearance / suspension travel with making the vehicle capable of relatively high speeds

Well, this year, anyway. Rio to Santiago or some such nonsense this year?

What sucks for the North American competitors is that they had to ship all their stuff to Europe for scrutineering even though the event is in South America this year.

That thing looks really nose heavy compared to, say, Robby Gordons "Hummer."

Mitsu always brings their a game, and have won a number of times. Hopefully Robby can go out there and stick it to the factory teams.
