I just picked up an 04 STi full harness on ebay for $100 + $50 shipping. I got my HVAC control unit, DCCD control unit, and a few other small things from Millennium Auto on ebay. There are all kinds of 04 STi HVAC parts, a few harnesses, DCCD computers, etc on ebay right now.

well, thanks but i spoke with steve @ PIA and they're getting me the gauges and wiring harnesses. he told me i dont need to change the heater and also that the dccd is a ridiculous amount of labor and i would be better off with an aftermarket one like neetronics. but that raises another question, do i really need dccd? is it worth it, i see that auto mode is usually the quickest.

If you are changing the full bulkhead harness you will either need to use the auto hvac, not have a heater, or do a bunch of wiring. If you switch to auto hvac it will just plug in and save you a lot of headache. The wiring is totally different between manual and auto.
