Default bosal bro speed sucks

Guess it would be good for the track, but for my street car its not enough muffler. I have obx headers high flow cat vivrant ultra quiet resonator all 2.25" piping.

I'm looking for something that is way quiter something that will muffle that rice rattle when I go wide open throttle at a low rmp.

I was looking at the dynomax super turbo muffler.

Any thoughts? Or suggestions?

muffler is straight through but is done the right way, it has a unigue packing material which drowns out alot of raspy notes, and isnt over the top loud.... all around its a great company

There are tons of universal mufflers on Ebay motors. Ranging from Apexi - HKS - other brand named fart cans

Relatively inexpensive too. 2.25" inlet with a 3-4" tip.

I got an ebay muffler and running headers and it is pretty quiet. You could get a Dynomax Bullet, that is the best flowing muffler out there and not too loud to me.

Untrue. The EL header design has nothing to do with rasp. it changes the spacing between exhaust pulses to be efficient, rather than the UEL design that is less efficient. it also seems that the EL aftermarket options are better designs, not taking the EL aspect into account.

The rasp seems to be a product of changing the stock cat for a HFC. The Stromung muffler will do a great job of reducing dB levels while still having great flow due to its straight through design. But i dont think it can compare to the muffling abillities of a baffled/chambered muffler like the stock piece.

well i have two oem axle backs at my disposal i have the 2.5i axle back and the 07 wrx axle back. i guess ill just have the guy chop off the brospeed and have him rig on the oem wrx axleback.

its got to be that high flow cat doing it though i think your right cause i had another car that did that with a hfc. its so loud and ugly . i got to get rid of that noise.

i even have a resonator on the custom mid pipe , with the oem wrx muffler hopefully it will get rid of the sound. god its bad , it sounds like 25 people are tapping on the pipe with little ball peen hammers.

My plan, when my stock muffler finally rusts out, is to replace it with the largest chambered/baffled Magnaflow muffler I can physically fit in there. The larger the muffler, the better it muffles without restricting flow. The Magnaflows, at least the chambered ones, also tend to have a deep burbly sound that almost totally suppresses the harsh, raspy chainsawy bit you're talking about.

haha its got to be the muffler im sure of it . i even have a resonator on the line . 14'' vivrants ultra silent. its pretty dense. but the muffler is pretty much the exact size of the resonator !!!! with a tip so its amplified . i need a really solid muffler , and a resonated tip. i mean look at that puny muffler lol. it needs to go . i need like you said wility ,the "biggest" , densest chambered muffler around . i cant find anything like im looking for . maybe i should make a solid muffler . i wonder if i can take apart the stock one and make it crazy .i wonder if anyone on here has ever gutted the stocker i wounder what it looks like in there . can you say bucket of fiberglass resin!!! woah it would weigh like 40lbs . haha kartboy hangers put em to the test!

i need something like the benz has , the noise canceling tech, like the bose earphones. that would be pimp!

You might try the stock WRX or STi muffler. One of those would have to flow more than we need as well as being well muffled.
