Default EFI Logics EG33 Swapped GC8

First off, I'd like to say that Jack and I have worked at XX Tuning for the last 8 years, in doing so, both Jack and I left to start EFI Logics in Bethel, CT. When Jack came aboard, he brought with him his GC8 Frankenstein ST-2 Track car with him.

After loosing the stock EG33/SVX motor at Pocono North race last year due to oil starvation, the car is finally back in action. The car consists of so many one-off hand made parts, including an amazing oil pan made by "Bob The fabricator", in which he also did the head porting.

Last year, the car made 285whp and 250wtq with stock shortblock, Custom Ground WEB cams, and ported heads. This year, Jack upped the compression and cubic inches. The build includes:

2000 Subaru RS
BBS Brakes all around
JIC suspension
Custom Rear sway bar
Custom Front Sway Bar
Cage by Bob the Fabricator
Custom Dash with Autometer gauges

Engine / Management:
EG33 SVX Flat 6
Custom Ported heads
Manley Rods
Cometic Head gaskets
ARP Head studs
Custom Web cams
Supertec valvetrain w/ BMW Solid buckets
Modified Cam gears
Custom JE Hich Compression pistons - All machine work done by Larry's Automotive in Stonington, CT.
Stock Intake Manifold
Custom 8qt Baffled road race pan (Bob the Fabricator)
Meziere Electric Waterpump
Custom 1 3/4 Headers (Bob The Fabricator)
Custom Motor and Tranny mounts
Custom Air box (Bob the Fabricator)
Custom MSD Ignition
Balanced and Blueprinted STIi Injectors by Deatschwerks
Autronic SMC Engine Management tuned by EFI Logics
Autronic CDI box
Custom 5 speed gear box W/ RA Gear set and Cusco Tarmac Center diff from Fizz Autosports

There is probably more we are missing, but that is the most of it. The car was tuned today, on our Mustang Dyno, and produced a very impressive 320whp and 276wtq @ 8200rpm, SAE corrected.

Dyno Graph (we are working on the bug with it going off the chart).

I'm pretty sure that was the car we tuned at the EFI course I took a few years ago at XXtuning. Simply amazing and perfect.

This car is the car that EFI University uses as their test car. The engine is such a solid platform, that we have no issue letting people learn how to properly dial in a timing curve based on torque readings. This car can stay at 5500rpm, WOT, for a long time without any issues.. The teachers love that.

We don't use the tunes that people put in the car obviously.

I didn't know the SVX engines would fit in the bay of a RS.
Kudos to you!

We maxed the dyno out at 150mph, so we really don't know, but I would assume 160 or so shouldn't be an issue.

Dyno Graph

Right now, our dyno database graph only goes to 7500, we are working on a fix for that today, but for now, the graph goes off the charts..

Bravo...*stands and gives applause*

I actually feel a bit inspired by that as I've had an NA build bug itching at me...too many other builds in the way first though

so you guys are spinning it ot 7800-8000k?

How much did the web charge for the cams?

We are spinning it to 8500 rpm.

I'll let Jack chime in on the cams when he can.

Also, you mentioned increased displacement. Is that simply because you went oversized pistons on the rebuild?

thanks,
Micah

It went from 3.28 liters to 3.52.

Pistons went from 97mm to 100mm bore.

First it sounds like a BMW M3, then as the revs got HIGHER, it started to turn into a Skyline RB sound. hahahha Very nice!!!

My friend has an EG33 swap in his '95 L. He has the stg1 chip in the ECU. Quick like a stg2 WRX at the moment with his setup.
