Default Just put a deposit down on an '08 STI!

Based on what Geico is going to give me, what I can sell my stock parts and mods for, and the fact I'll be getting a refund for my extended warranty ... I'll be getting a Silver 2008 WRX STI tomorrow! I put the deposit down on it today. They have some REALLY good deals going on right now.

I'll post a large for sale thread with the goodies and stock parts from the Red Wagon in the next couple days.

The ONLY mod I want to get for this is a set of used STI wheels with all season or snow tires. I really don't want to go down the modding path again. Well, that's not true... I do want to go down that path, but I'm going to try and stop myself from doing so

*Edit: Pics!

Stohlman in Tysons. They've always treated me well there.

I wanted a silver or white one with only the ipod option. They had one in stock in silver so it worked out really well.

Haha, I do love red. The WRX and my previous car were both red so I wanted something different (and better at hiding swirls).

Trust me, you'll want to get rid of the excessively excessive understeer.

Thumbs up Congrats!

Glad you stayed in the Suby fold.

Deals on the 08 STI was just amazing - hope Richie at Stohlman hooked you up.

Enjoy the new ride

Aren't the 08s having the same ECU issues as the 07s? If that's the case, I'd look into a reflash, whether Cobb or OS. Just for durability, not considering the power.

Glad you're sticking with a wagon!

Haha, yes ... that's the one. The white on gold was already spoken for today and it was about $2,xxx more than the silver one. If price wasn't an option and it was still available I'd have gone for that one as well.

You gotta stick with the wagon! It's too perfect for those "nice little Saturday" trips to Home Depot and Bed Bath and Beyond

*Edit. This was a Will Farrel / Old School movie reference. I do not go to Bed Bath and Beyond every Saturday.
