I don't think you need to remove DRL to make your HID kit work. Your HID kit needs DRL remove so you won't get the flickering lights. And since people already pointed you towards the search button and the HID FAQ thread, I'll just give you the jist of both threads....

Throw away the HID kit because it blinds people. But if you are still choosing the selfish choice of increasing visibility by decreasing others', then here's the way of removing DRL. There is a white plug to the passenger side of the interior (right next to the glove box). Remove it and your DRL will be off. But if you are going that route, I'm glad I'm not in CA area because I don't want another HID kit car to make my night time driving miserable.

HID's decrease your usable light...so its actually decreasing your visibility as well, while blinding others

SEARCH!!!

if not... Remove 10 phillips head screws in around glove box, remove glove box, unplug little whitish yellowish plug labeled DRL on the lowermost rightmost side of the box near the pass side door card/speaker. There should also be a blue plug next to it but only unplug the white. GL

I think you're right, may not have to take out glove box to reach on bugeyes, but 10 ph screws aren't tough to get around if you want to be sure you're pulling the right plug. Took me 15 mins total to remove, unplug, and remount glove box. GL
