My review is you'd have to be a complete moron to get it or you have a $100,000 show car. Those are the only two people that should have a V mount set-up. Oh...perhaps a WRC fanboi, those guys do that too.

Thers a memeber in houston that has one, Id like to get one. All the benifits of a fmic but without having to trim your bumper to hell and you can keep your bumper beam.

^^that setup is badass for a smaller turbo... i would rock that if i still had my sti...
this v mount setup on a stock turbo 07 sti would ride out think about it... only 3 couplers on ALL of the intercooler piping... no blown couplers that you cant get to easy installation... nothing running through fenders to rattle around quicker response due to smaller core (people dont seem to get the point that most fmics are too large!!) cooler temps as the intercooler sits higher... it picks up the colder air thats farther away from hot pavement less hacking of the front bumper, no piping hitting the fender liners lots of advantages... i support v mounts 100%! btw, all of the things ive listed are issues i dealt with when running a normal fmic... this will avoid all of those... this is the ONLY non tmic setup i would EVER EVER EVER run on a subaru... anything else i would just stay tmic Last edited by All4bSpinnin; 12-09-2008 at 08:19 PM. |

From pictures i have seen it looks like the bumper beam is removed? V-mount is nice idea but i think i could piece together my own for less that $4000

Big ripoff is what it is. Just go with a FMIC, they do the job just as good and cost 1/4 the price.. Witht the extra cash go get a nice turbo kit and save the rest for a built motor..

i saw a review on this v-mount at one time and ther person actually switched to an aps fmic and a different radiator and ended up making more power and the car actually ran alittle bit cooler. Can't seem to find it ATM though.

The cost is b/c ARC makes some of the BEST cores in the world, theres a reason F1 used them exclusively in the turbo era.
Theres a guy on here from australia that has a install guide to installing one. Its also on fizzautosports site too. If I could sell my rad/ fmic and whatnot to get one. btw the PE one requires ALOT less cutting than the process west discontinued V mount. |

Everybody is saying the same thing I was told (by a vendor no less), the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Get a nice fmic.

its true...
i had the genuine PE kit...it really wasnt worth 3k..an fmic + radiator package is better... if your after the most expensive parts and the bling...go for it! |

That PE V-Mount is worth nothing. Shorter Piping? Please, you see graph differences but no street/track difference.
