Default ssr type f-rs

luke, any news or information on this wheel??? specifically a 17x8.5 with sti fitment???

Quote:

15 and 16 are Type F single piece SSF

17, 18 and 19 are Type F-RS hybrid two-piece SSF

The new wheel is engineered to be stronger and lighter than the Type C / C-RS. On average the new wheel will weigh about .3 - .5 lbs. less for any given size.

The wheel will be slightly more expensive than the Type C
(final pricing has not been determined yet)

The wheel will be available in a flat black paint like is shown in the photo. We will look at adding any additional finishes next year.

Delivery for the new wheel will be early 2008 to be ready for the spring season.

Subi applications are looking like this

16X7 5-100 ET48
17X7.5 5-114 ET48
17X8 5-100 ET44
17X8 5-114 ET44
17X8.5 5-114 ET40 (kinda low offset)
18X8.5 5-114 ET48
19X8 5-114 ET48

I am pushing for 17x9 ET45 5-114 for the 05 and newer STi

Damn. So if I get the Kosei's now, can I trade them in when the SSR's are available?

Oh, and I know it hasn't been determined yet, but a rough estimate on pricing?

Yeah, it'd be nice to be able to search Tirerack by wheel size, rather than just be vehicle.

So are these wheels not officially available yet? I was scouring the Tire Rack site looking for them but do not see them. I even went to SSR's site to see if they were there. I found the thumbnail image of them but when you click on the image to get further details it shows all the wheels in that series but the RS.

SSR Type F-RS
http://www.ssrwheels.com/catalog.html

I seen the add in a magazine and went into a frenzy....I NEED THESE!!!

i don't think they'll be available until march. luke is out of town until the 18th or so. no answers until then unless you decide to call tirerack.

i'm hoping 17x8.5 +44 will clear brembos!

Yes they fit over the brembo's. I have them in 17x8.5 +48 for the 05+ STi! Go to the tirerack page and select your car and they will be there.

Weird as hell, I keep scouring the tirerack site for these and do not see them at all. Might have to call them in the next few weeks to order em.

How about C5 Vette fitments? Looking for 18x9.5-10 for the front and 18x10.5-11 in the rear.

i've seen tirerack ads in two different magazines quoting different starting prices. 2/08 issue of MT says 'starting at $293', 3/08 issue of automobile says 'starting at $396'.
