I'd like to go. I've gotten a couple emails from various companies telling me to stop by. Any vendors need an extra person to help work the table/crowd?

Saw the team tarzan cusco/tomei impreza today at the PRI show, of the many things i learned about it, here was a big surprise:

If any of you remember the Tomei/ARISE time attack Impreza...

Then you'll be surprised to learn that this new car is build on-top of that car. Its A GDB(C) chassis (2003/4) with a front end conversion.

Proof:

i'd say mine was the 12,000hp drag tractor with 5 v8 engines.

Needless to say, i'm in the process of setting up some contracts with this company to produce a drag tractor for the redline time attack next year.

Those brakes were ridiculous. Everytime I walked by I giggled thinking that with the caliper they are taller than my wheels and tires on the racecar...

Lots of good stuff at the show. New AIM video system called SmartyCam was the best new item I saw, a Traqmate killer as described by a large number of people.

I'm up there a lot so the odds are good. The VIPER lab is pretty nice especially hte post rig. Right next door to where all the TDI cup cars are so you may be able to sneak a peak in there too.

heh, you dont even want to know what i think about that series... I mean really, a bunch of brats from well off familys that can pay for new cars every round? I bet its a warehouse of all the damaged cars from the series.

But yea, the VIPER guys ROCK! It was really cool talking with their director, and I really wish they had a PM position open.

They only totalled a couple of the cars... I worked with the guy who had to redo the vinyl every week. He went nuts. The cars are all better now.

The guys at the pointy end were some fast racers though. Even some of the mid-back packers were good. I know one of the guys who didn't really get much top ten time was a real fast S2000 club racer but didn't transfer to sedans very well.

As for VIPER We put one of the cup cars we taught kids in this summer on the dyno they have down in the paddock. Longest dynopull they have ever had. Took almost a minute to get the full 12.99 horsepower to spin that thing with the poor centrifugal clutch smokin away.

Its true, the fast guys were really fast, but the slow guys were REALLY slow. I know at least one guy that got his seat with NO previous racing experience, and thats just scary. Sedans are very different for sure, I'd love to race one and see just how different they are from my vette.

wow, I'd love to have seen that on a dyno!!!
