Default wrong fitment people

looking into getting a set of 18x9.5 with aggresive ofest +35 like the rotas but not sure how the handleing/wear is very curious because im and aggresive driver ike to push it a little but wondering how the extra large wheels would hold up to such circumstances? and i know id need some coilovers to suit these properly

any input would be great thanks!

Cut tires and rubbed inner fenders are a way of life.
I've done dozens of rolls, and each of them shows some sign of prior rubbage. One guy pulled the inner fender lip damn near right out after a day at the track with his 18x9 +29. I had to use my bodywork tools to fix that one.

The bottom line is that there are some roads I don't take. I don't really speed much anymore, and I rub in spots when I take multiple passengers. There is a sacrifice you must make to roll "hellaflush".

And I'm not even close to being as aggressive as some of these guys.

You have conflicting wants.
You want looks - 18" wheels and an "aggressive" look
You also want good handling.

Be prepared for flaming for wanting +35 wheels and using the word aggressive. It is not the way to on our cars.
You even know it is the wrong fitment, you state it in your title.

Yeah, I'm sure Ken Block is

1) Worried about the look of his car compared to the performance
2) Worried about premature failures on components on his RACE car
3) Worried about being considered part of the "aggressive" group

In other words, doing it for the track is one thing, doing it for the street is COMPLETELY different.

Dont put words in my mouth, I have never said anything near what you are turning it into.

18x9.5 rims. Lets see they won at subiefest 1 and 2. They have wins at GT Live...

Cobb runs the same sized rims on their car as well.

So yeah wrong fitment cars are still tracked, and some of them win.

Again, thank you for your input, exactly what I had said. These cars are tracked.

I guess everyone else read into that an aggresive offset means he wants to be in the "aggressive looking club". I assumed that it was an adjective of the +35 offset.

Personally, I would not want something that wide for daily driving. The roads are so crappy your ride would be horrible. Especially in an 18in rim, Vsxx and Rota rims... Just because a rim is not Volk, or Prodrive mean that it does roll any better.

Overall quality is different, but for the price of 1 set of advans someone could have 2 pair almost 3 sets of Rotas. Assuming that I could get 1 year out of each rim, that would last longer than I typically keep a rim anyways. So whats wrong with saving a thousand dollars on a set of rims that I would only keep a year? Not a damn thing. I'm not even the OP.

This man makes a good point.
When you push the wheel out over an inch further than the oem had designed, AND added another inch of width to the wheel, you're going to affect the scrub radius. In effect, you're increasing the width of the car. It's like making your lever longer, with all the inherent traits.

A car with 18x9" rims and a +30 offset will have more overall grip, but the turn in is negatively affected. Not to mention the other issues, like torque steer, tracking in ruts, etc.

I love the look of my +30, but I LOVE the feel of a good +52.
That's why I leave the +30 at home for track days.
