Default Official Bug Eye owner!

Last night I finally bought a WRX. Its a 2002 WRX silver, all stock. I would post some pics up but it hasnt stopped raining since I bought it. Any ways Im really excited to make it my own and if anyone has some advice I would be happy to hear it.

Things Im looking for:
Silver side skirts, or should I paint the ones I have?
Deff. a turboback exhaust but dont want somthing to rediculos in sound.
Maybe a STi scoop.
some wheeles. rotas?
springs.

Good buy, bugeyes FTW!! Paint your side skirts, just sand them first, my buddy painted his on his 04 and they look fan-fackin-tastic!!

Welcome. Congrats on the bugeye! I'm biased.

You'll want to get acquainted with the search feature here. As I'm sure you can imagine, many people have asked some of the same questions and the answers are here if you search. Some questions can't be answered; you just gotta see what's out there and experiment sometimes.

If it were me, I'd paint your skirts for now and see how you like it, decide if you want to go catless or keep cats in your TBE and then pick one that fits. if you don't like it, sell it on here and buy another one. Rinse and repeat if necessary. Some people knock rota's. I have them and love them. I probably won't ever buy anything else for street. Springs? Start doing some research and find out which ones work well with stock struts, which don't, more/less drop, performance gain or loss.

Have fun.

yaaaay bugeyes!
I would recommend the following sir...
-painted side skirts; you could probably find some "color match" because the silver is easy to match...then prep and paint them yourself!
-cobb turbo back
-you better be talking about a jdm sti bugeye scoop (not a 04-05 sti scoop)
-check out wheeldude .com for rotas, they are great imo.
-definitely research for what kind of springs you want (depending what kind of driving your doing)

Good choice on the bugeye!
to each their own on exhausts. I got a $600 turboxs TBE I would recommend.
If you're going TBE might as well get EM and go stage 2... (might i suggest the AP)

As for the scoop... I really wanted one but its a big hassle. JDM V7 STi spec c scoops aren't really commonplace hah. I think rallispec and a few others make replicas for 200ish. Don't go for an 04 scoop tho, they don't perform (or in my opinion look) well on bugeyes, different airflow.
best to go with an JDM V7 STi TMIC if you go that route. Get the IC then go for the scoop, shroud and all that jazz. I found it gets pricey real fast. Plus won't make you faster unless you're quite modded and you will need to tune for it to get gains.

Very nice. We used to have an 03 identical to that before our silver 03 wagon. Love PSM looks good even dirty Clear the headlights and get clear side markers would be cheap. Painted skirts are an inexpensive diy and they look marvelous! Heres what I mean

I wish mine was a wagon, when you painted your skirts what type of prepping did you do and where did you get your paint? and is your wagon lowered?

^^ It was pretty easy, mine was just four holes. If I remember correctly they just use the same holes for the stock wrx wing. The holes we drilled came out right where they needed to be to tighten them down from the inside.
