Default Vf39 2005 Ej20 Wrx 13.01@103.9

Posting this for anyone considering a VF turbo on a 2.0, or the XPT vf map:

Went to the drag strip on Wednesday night. I was hoping for a 12.9 but I didnt quite make it. Maybe if I took the spare + jack + subwoofer + amp out of my trunk I would have hit it :-p

Best run was 13.01 @ 103.94 mph

2nd best was 13.04 @ 103.xx, and the rest were in the mid 13's.

mods:

2005 WRX Sedan
EJ205 (stock)
5 speed
ACT HD street disc, Exedy stage 1 pressure plate
Gruppe-S lightweight flywheel
VF39 Turbo
STi TMIC
STi Pink injectors
TiTek 3" catless downpipe
Megan Racing 3" catback fartcan
XPT Stage 2.5 Map, with boost turned up to 19 PSI peak (Everything else untouched)
103 Octane for some headroom to prevent det after the half-ass last minute modification to the tune.
Launch control set at 5,100 RPM
Rota Torque 17" x 8" rims
Falken Ziex 912's 235/45/17

Track is the former Moroso Motorsports Park, now known as "Palm beach international raceway". It was probably about 75*F out.

Hoping for a high 12 second pass next run. If anyone cares about timeslips ill post them later.

EDIT: As a comparison, my best run before the VF39 (with XPT Stage 2 map) was 13.69 ET.

Yeah the 13.01 was my 2nd to last pass before they closed. Im pretty confident that if I had a few more passes that I would have hit the 12's.

Either way im pretty satisfied for a $250 turbo with an off the shelf map

Yeah that's cool, wish I had higher that 90 octane though, I need to setup launch control in my tune. I expect to drop at least to 12.8 next summer since I made a few modifications to my map. Somehow I managed to run the 12.9 on 16lbs of boost on my vf39

Ah yeah I forgot to mention I have the GM BCS as well (required by the XPT map)

My 60ft were nothing spectacular, I dont have the timeslip in front of me but I believe they were in the high 1.8's and low 1.9's.
