Default Reiter Engineering makes the Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT Racecar street-legal

Quote:
Reiter Engineering, the German racing and engineering company, has unwrapped a street-going version of its Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT racecar. Reiter Engineering is the factory-supported entry for the Lamborghini team in the FIA GT Championships, and is famous for its design of lightweight racing variants of Lamborghini supercars such as the Murcielago, Gallardo and Diablo.

Showcased at the Essen Motor Show, the street-going Murcielago R-GT highlights a number of revisions including a fresh carbon-fiber front spoiler, a fresh rear diffuser and a outstanding spoiler at the rear. One of the most apparent recisions, however, is at the rear where Reiter Engineering has relocated the Lamborghini double-exhaust to the top of the back in line with the brake lights.

This creates an unusual appearance that may not be attractive to everyone but surely distinguishes the Murcielago R-GT as not your regular Lamborghini. At the top of all these, a set of lightweight, black, O.Z. racing rims also come with the show vehicle. The vehicle will be vended by Reiter Engineering as a one-off piece, while the company is also probably going to vend different individual components in a restricted production run.

Although the extent of the revisions are at the moment unknown, however, Reiter Engineering has been know to remove AWD systems for their racing cars in keeping with racing guidelines. The appropriate racing verson of the Murcielago R-GT is designed by Audi Sport along with Reiter Engineering, and typically maintains the regular Murcielago V12 unit that comes with air restrictors.

I love the interior, very muted and simple. Not crazy about the exterior paint job though.

Because to make the racecar, they used the streetcar.

What am I seeing that is the R-GT besides the diffusers and maybe the exhaust?

What part about the 3800 lb. awd GT-R is racecar like? It's completely a GT.
