Default Quick tire size question for stock wrx wheels.

There is a good deal on some winter tires that I want to get and the size is 225/60/16. I know that's a little wider and taller than the factory wrx tire size and IMO I think it should work fine for winter. What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Default hmm...

I think the 60 is what is going to get you. I have 225/55R16 on my stock wheels, I am lowered 1.25", and I don't really have any rub anywhere, but it is VERY VERY close to the strut in the rear. You can probably do it for sure if you aren't lowered at all, or if you don't mind a little tire rub every now and then in the rear. Then again...you are a sedan and not a wagon; that gives you a hair more clearance in the rear...not much, but...Like I said, probably no problems unless you are lowered and have a full car and full tank of gas. Even then, it probably would only rub around sharp corners, and you may be able to get rid of that with some negative camber.

Sorry, I didn't even think about suspension making a difference. The car has stock suspension. Thanks for the reply.
