Default 93 subaru legacy clutch/transmission problem.

I have a 93 subaru legacy L with 201,500 miles. I cold started my subaru last night after sitting for 9 hours and while running in neutral the car suddenly stalled very hard as if I had put it in first and let off the clutch at 1,500rpm, which was what it was running at. when I restarted the car, it would then only run with my foot on the clutch. It will go in gear but when I try to pull away it doesnt do anything but stall, as if I tried to pull away with the brake on. and it will move slowly in nuetral. I replaced the clutch 2 years ago, but I dont think the shop that did it ever resurfaced the flywheel, because I've had clutch chatter for the last two years. it's not a hydrolic assist clutch. and I've made few adjustments to the clutch since it has always grabbed about half way up the pedal. any ideas or suggestions?

P.S. sorry if I posted in the wrong forum, I know this group if primarily impreza's and wrx's. I just need some friendly advice.

Sounds like your transmission took a dump. Short of taking it apart, I'm not sure there's anything you can do. I'd suggest checking out www.bbs.legacycentral.org as they are a forum primarily for the 90-94 US Legacies.
