Hello everyone I just purchased my 2005 SRR 2.5 RS this weekend and couldnt be happier. Paid 12k flat and the car had just under 44k miles. Got to have some great bonding time with the car driving about 350 miles in the first day. Cant wait to start modding. First mod will be a set of lowering springs cant decide between STi Pinks or Prodrives yet. Eventually I want to do a Stromung Catback with Borla UEL Headers. I already have a set of Rota P1's in Black with Red Lip ready for spring just need to pick up some tires. Anyways here is the stock pic of my car and I will be sure to add some more pics once my car starts to change.

very nice buy! I just picked up almost the same car this summer. A silver 2005 2.5rs with 26k miles for 12 grand. Ive loved having it. My only regret is not having enough money for a wrx. Its a great little car though and i get upwards of 30 mpg on the highway.

Ive done alot of poking around on this forum and others and from the information ive gathered, it seems that stuff like an intake or exhaust that make all the difference with a turbo b/c of the decreased backpressure, doesnt make too much of a difference in preformance on our cars.

If you do decide to put an exhaust on I would love to hear the sound of it an any performance that you do gain from it. I would love for my research to have been proven wrong!

thanks guys. I was pretty determined to find SRR because I really wanted a bright color that sticks out. My last 2 cars have been black so i was pretty sick of black and since i want to save up for an STi which would be WRB of course I figured SRR is perfect

What's SRR? Is this the sport package variant? Just do suspension mods! That's what makes these cars fun. Nothing wrong with exhaust and intake for some sound though. If you want the springs to make more of a difference, pair them with some better struts! Good luck.

I recommend Dunlop's winter series of tires. Theyre great when its snowy and arent bad the rest of the time when it's just cold.

You need the following:
1. 20mm rear swaybar $80
2. Window tint - would look good with the red
3. Snow Tires (see above)

I would wait on the springs and just try the swaybar, see if it's enough. The springs will lower the car and make it less effective in the snow. Have fun!
