Impreza GC8 Stage 2 WRX (98 RS ej255 swapped)

2 weeks ago now, I went in to get some check engine lights turned off and some more power. I had an AEM short ram i didnt want, so I traded it for a HKS catless DP. Don't really care too much, it is still fast and loud lol, plus the car weighs in around 2800lbs

Could have made a bit more power with a bellmouth, but whatever, it was a straight trade. Before summer or so, going for a nice upgrade - sti turbo, intercooler, ueq headers, bigger upipe, bellmouth dp, tune. that should put me around 280whp/330 wtq is what i'm told

Crucial Mods:
HKS Catless DP
HKS Carbon TI
K&N Drop In Panel Filter
Cobb Accessport V1
'06 WRX EJ255 37k miles

Fine Line Imports Pro Tune on a Mustang Dyno 227 whp (+ 15) and 275 wtq (+59)
not too shabby. stock STI puts down about 240/240 on this dyno

that is pretty much it right there

getting ready for tune (no dyno pics)

that torque spike (most likely boost control related) is telling you that you could pick up some decent power from 3800rpm-4800rp if you were able to hold boost better instead of spiking.

We actually found that the car in 4th gear around that rpm range would overboost (i think thats it) and throw a check engine light. The tuner has changed a couple things to hopefully fix that, although i don't know right now, i have to get it smogged wednesday so i'm running stock pipes right now

lol yea i guess. I could have had them push the psi higher, but the tuner had mentioned that since i wasn't using a bellmouth dp, there was a little bit more back pressure, so if i went with a higher psi, it could possibly damage the turbocharger over time
