Wow, thats a little wierd.
Well, might as well make good use of the post. I have had very very good dealings with this dealer. He is fast, friendly, fairly priced, and quick to respond to your emails. Big thumbs up Pete |

I'm still waiting for my swaybar from them... I wish I had a tracking number to go by. According to them, the bar was sent out two weeks ago on monday.
I'm glad that you guys have good things to say about that vendor. That should keep me relaxed for a while. Marcin |

This is a cross thread, but here goes. Reply with support, everyone.
I want a vent some, and give a fair warning to anyone planning on making an order with these people. I placed an order for a WRX whiteline sway bar about 2 and a half weeks ago, and was informed it'll be shipped Monday two weeks ago exactly. Okay, great. I send another e-mail that Wednesday, just to ask if it did get shipped. "Yup! It went out Monday. You should be seeing it soon." Awsome, I think. So, its Friday. Okay, usually takes UPS a week. Monday last week, no sway. Alright, I e-mail to ask how they shipped it, and when they think it would get to me. I get a reply, there was a screw up in the shipping department and it went out later than he previously said and I should see it that week. Rrr..okay..fine. Today, Monday, still no sign. They're only from Michigan, how long could it take? I inquire again, and I get a big excuse "our company is new, blah blah blah" and the sway bar had never BEEN in-stock. And they MAY get some this Wednesday, and they'll two-day it out to me when they get it. Yeah, I heard that two weeks ago. I asked for a full refund back, lets see what they say. This really fries me, who has the time to wait a month+ for something they said was in stock on the boards? Beware them, or be prepared to wait. I'm waiting for my refund to go over to Ganz's site and get what I want and an intake. Thanks, I don't want to see anyone else screwed like me, or to get the aggravation. |

Jim has incredibly fast response time and superb service. If there is a problem with a backordered item it is usually the fault of the importer, not him. Be patient folks. Jim will take care of you.

This vendor forum seems slow :/ Though it seems the appropriate place...
Talked to Jim at Tokigi Racing about an STI scoop. This guy was emailing me back in minutes every time! Made me feel comfortable doing business with him. I ended up paypaling him money for the scoop before it came in. I hadn't heard from him for a couple days after that, so I emailed him the day after he said they would be in. But no response came for a day. I thought, that's wierd, considering he always emailed me within minutes before he got my money. Anyways, the next day he emailed me saying the scoop came in and it's on it's way. I recieved it 1 business day later! (emailed me Fri. recieved Mon.) I have a feeling it was rushed out to me...shrug...Works for me...Thanks for the quick service!! ![]() When I opened the package, there is absolutely nothing protecting the scoop. It's just wrapped in some plastic or somethin. I guess they really did rush it to me. Looks like it arrived in good condition (as far as shipping went). However... The scoop looks used to me. The color doesn't seem to match perfectly. Scoop seems a bit darker (not as shiny either) silver. I guess I should be happy it's silver (or grey), as I thought it would be unpainted. I noticed a few scratches on it too. The invoice shows it was shipped from Vivid Racing...Are they the same company? *boggle* As you can see by the pictures, the quality isn't really up to par with what I thought would be a 'new and unused' product. Perhaps I get what I pay for. I did get a decent deal. But, nowhere was it stated that it wasn't new. So, that's my story. Quick service, poor quality. Can someone with an STI scoop explain to me if the spacing in the horizontal supports is normal. See the pic scoop_spacing. To me, this just seems poorly made as well. But, I've never seen an STI scoop before. http://www.dnai.com/~bobafett/hosted...op_package.jpg http://www.dnai.com/~bobafett/hosted/dan/scoop_top.jpg http://www.dnai.com/~bobafett/hosted...op_scratch.jpg http://www.dnai.com/~bobafett/hosted...op_spacing.jpg Thanks for listening...and thanks for any replies. P.S. Nothing against Jim or Dan...This is just my experience with this purchase. |

bobafett - If the scoop was scratched at all, it happened during shipping. It was insured through UPS, so if any damage was incured during shipping, they are responsible. That is the same amount of packaging the scoops come with from Japan, and like I said, the package was insured, so if any problems ever arise due to shipping, UPS is responsible. The gaps at the bottom are normal - perfect place for zip ties to sit holding a piece of grill on to protect your IC. And if I don't reply to emails the day that I get them, I have either left for the day, or I was out of the office for the entire day.
Brad - Nice to meet you and do business with you...Hopefully you can get the uppipe installed soon! So far we have only had problems with 2 or 3 customers. This was due to the supplier that sends parts to me. The only problem items have been swaybars - either held up in customs or not included in the shipment when they should have been. As you can see by the time of this post, I work 24/7 - so please have some patience with my response time, although it is usually within minutes. Tokigi Racing is expanding within the next few months...We will be opening up a shop soon - and possibly be offering an installation service. I apologize to all those that have had problems. When a problem arises, I try to resolve to the best of my ability. If the customer doesn't want to wait any longer on a part that is held up on it's delivery to me, then I can send a full refund upon their request. For everyone that has had problems, I hope you give us another chance in the future to prove that we are a good vendor, and that the problem you may have had was simply a "start-up" issue. For everyone that I have not done business with yet - I'm looking forward to it! If anyone has any problems, questions, etc... feel free to send me an email. Jim TOKIGI RACING |

(Tokigi): I am actually pleased with your service
![]() I guess I just didn't expect it to have such cheap packaging. And the color of it...It was painted grey. And the fact that it was shipped from Vivid Racing just made me wonder...Before I opened it, I thought to myself, I didn't buy nothing from Vivid (yet ) |

Yer right. Even if it was yellow :P I just thought an unpainted scoop would come black. I was wrong. That wasn't even my main gripe. It was the inadequate packaging and scratches.
I was told this is how it comes from Japan. *shrug* It was literally two boxes taped together...Like some homeless person packaging up his belongings The scoop was loose inside and had no protection.Doesn't matter, it got here fine. |

I will say this for Tokigi Racing, at our last install day Jim swapped a part out with me that was questionable in regards to finish and is going to take care of it with the vendor himself.
Did I mention that I did not buy this part from Tokigi Racing ? In fact, I've never bought anything from Tokigi Racing. Now I will. And everyone knows that I am a poor cheapskate who is simply looking for the lowest price. Thanks Jim. |

This start-up business is like the others that get 1 part "in stock"
and collect money from many. I had good communication with Jim when I first ordered, but now, many excuses and 4 weeks later, I still have no Hood scoop or tracking number. you can see the latest attempt at getting an answer in the thread "E-Mail problems" located in the "Vendor for sale" forum. My scoop also shipped from Vivid and even included the invoice to Tokigi with pricing. It really appears that we are (were) at the mercy of Vivid's response time and not Tokigi as he is just handling the transaction and never even touched the merchandise.
Mine was also painted gray (factory primer) and had some small scratches in the primer. There was no issue with it after painting by the bodyshop though. Looks very good though not installed yet as I am waiting on a splitter. |

Bill - That is not what I meant at all. I simply meant that any damage to the scoop was the fault of UPS, therefore they will cover it because it was insured.
wrx_fun - You got it man. This has been resolved as of May 1 however, as we now have our own warehouse. I'll let people know the situation next time before they send me fifty emails for a tracking number I don't even get! |
