how do i get an 04 intake trumpet to fit good where mine used to be, its a little more odd shaped then the rectangle entrance shape of mine????

yours didnt have a "trumpet" as its called. The 07's have a duct feeding the snorkus in the fender with a downward facing opening behind the right front headlight. To use a "trumpet", some modifying/fabricating is necessary to make it fit. And you also have to trim the leading edge hood seal to avoid choking the trumpet mouth, from what i understand.

ya i know that, but what should i do, it fits over so should i duct tape the same or use something else, i just got it in the mail today lol

dunno man, fabricate something that will work. its your car, duct tape away if you want. just an FYI, anything before the MAF sensor does not need to be airtight. being completely air tight will guarantee one source for intake air, which may keep the temps down a couple degrees, depending on how loose the fit was. I cant think of any other benefits.
