Default FS/FT 2002 RS Swapped To 2004 STI!!Trade for wrx + 5k!!

Price: 17,500 obo REDUCED!!!!!

Mileage: 46,000

Contact: sales@5-starfabrication.com

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the car, I just think its time to get something more practical. I will consider trades, and Llke I said I'm not 100% sure I want to get rid of it, its a great car and pulls very hard.

Specs:
2004 Blue Ridge Pearl STi
Previously was a 2002 Impreza 2.5RS. The trans and motor have roughly 33,000 miles on them. Odometer (taken from hit STi says around 41,000). Bought a hit STi, swapped the motor and EVERYTHING on the car. This car is 100% STi. Everything from body panels to the motor, to the suspension, to the $1200 Brembo brake setup. Best part of the car is that you pay 2.5RS insurance prices. Title and VIN show as 2.5RS, therefore you pay 1/4th the insurance you normally would.

Mods:

Injen IS Short Ram Intake
Turbo XS Utec Piggyback ECU w/ Serial Connector for Tuning and Map Selector/ Launch Control or 2-step
Tune by JUNIOR at TurboTrix (300hp/360TQ)
4 Inch Tanabe Catless Catback Exhaust
CSS Performance Front Mount Kit
nVidia Downpipe
APS BOV
Perrin Turbo Inlet
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Devils Own Meth Kit
Stage 2 Clutch
Rear Sway Bars (handles like a champ)
Vis A Racing Carbon Fiber Hood

Suspension:
HKS Coilovers (8,000 miles)
Perrin ALK (Anti-lift kit, prevents car from dipping forward on hard braking)

Car is garage kept. Car doesn't grind any gears and has NEVER been launched.

Cons:
Nothing major at all. There is slight paint chip on the roof. Not rusting or anything and is almost impossible to tell but I'm just trying to be honest to give you guys a complete picture.

Hope this makes everybody happy!

if you would total this car and it was insured as a 2.5 then you would only get the value of the 2.5 right?? how does that work, anyone know?

You would have to insure it with a "rider" to make up for the difference in replacement cost. Would still be less than insuring an STI though.

Bump for a sweet-ass colored STI!!

It depends on whether or not your insurance company will insure tuner cars. If you don't tell them its modified you won't get what a 2.5 is worth; you will get nothing! Its illegal to insure something like this without notifying your insurance of the modifications. You can do it though, the downfall is you will be out a car if you wreck it and out an insurance company, possibly others. Its not a risk worth taking IMO. Insurance adjusters aren't that dumb they will know!

That said many companies do cover mods like these and most of the time the rates don't go up very much. I would guess you'd still have insurance quite cheaper than an STI.

as long as its street legal they will pay you the value of a 2.5 then you can buy it back. and no i think its fine. think of how many people are out there with expensive rims on old cheap cars/ricers/people with expensive sound systems, etc.
