Default 2.2L exhaust gasket

I got a problem. I am working on a 96 Legacy wagon for a friend with a 2.2L with the single port exhaust. I can get the exhaust gasket from the dealer but it will be next week before it will be in. I have gone to Autozone, NAPA, OReilly's and Advanced Auto Parts and they all show the dual port gasket for that year and not the single port. Any one have a Felpro and other gasket manf part# I can use to cross reference.

Thx,

make one with some high temp gasket paper? i have done that a couple times, seems to work well. never tried it on an exhaust gasket, though. better than not driving for a week til the right gasket arrives.

I don't think that there is a Fel-Pro gasket for that EJdeucedeuce.

the SOA part number is 44011AC020.

I have a set on my desk, they're anyone's for a dub

<--does not work at dealership

RaceFaceXC, there is exhaust gasket material that is different from intake gskt material. Mr. Gasket sells both in 12"x12" and 6"x24" sheets. The exhaust material part numbers in those sizes are 77 and 77A, respectively (that's for the standard stuff, not the "Ultra Seal" stuff with the metal wiring in it)

bl_easy - nice to know. I had only used the gasket paper on a couple vac. pump gaskets in a pinch, where there is only low pressure oil. thanks for the part #'s

If you ever need them again ask for the exh. gaskets for a 98-99 impreza or legacy. Sily parts jockeys.

Heck I even asked for a 2000 Impreza L which has the same thing. No joy.

I got a call today from the head office of AutoZone by the guy that takes care of gaskets and some other things. Felpro told him that they checked and didn't show any Subaru's with single ports. LOL
We talked for a bit about Subies and I got some contact info from him. I ended up e-mailing him pictures of the old gaskets and a picture out of the FSM with the parts layout showing the manifold and gasket.
