Default Automobile Announces 2009 All-Stars List

Automobile Announces 2009 All-Stars List

The February issue hasn't hit newsstands yet, but Automobile Magazine issued a press release today listing its top ten All-Stars of the year. While a few choices aren't surprising (Audi R8, BMW 3-series, VW GTI) considering they've all won Automobile of the Year in the past three years, a few unexpected but very impressive cars made the list.

Among those are the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, which we adore, along with the Ford Flex, which is essentially a much better version of the also-ran Taurus X. Chevrolet got two spots on the list, with the Malibu returning for a second year and the Corvette ZR1 challenging the R8 for top dog on the list. The full list is after the jump.

GT-R got automobile of the year, which means it isn't eligible for the all-star list.

Sorry to disappoint.

The list seems pretty decent. No major surprises in my opinion.

One major suprise.....no GTR. Come on? I can understand that arguments against car of the year but not on a top ten list? Rediculous!
