Default An Unamusing Discovery

Today, while changing my spark plugs, I took a gander at the inlet pipe to my airbox. Guess what I see? I see that the K&N panel filter that I had in there was "crushed" lengthwise and was compressing at the center, leaving a hole on the side of the filter where unfiltered air could get by.

Now, I've probably had this filter for about 11 or 12k miles. How worried should I be? Sorry, I didn't take pictures, but I still had the stock paper filter so I slapped that back in immediately.

if you want both...run the shortest possible (or no tube at all) tube from your air box to your fender hole.

I have a ganzflow pipe...took it off to work on my iac and too lazy to put it back on....wayyyyyy louder.

I wouldnt worry about it.

A K&N is just about as bad as unfiltered air anyway.
