Default stock ej205 with a ATP GT3076R upgrade..

so i installed it and waiting to get tuned on saturday by keith fields at awdtuning.com in texas. check out the setup and i'll post a dyno sheet after i get tuned. yeah i know i'm probably going to get massive lag but i'll live with it. i already have a 6 speed so i won't have to worry about blowing a gear but anyways lets try to not say anything too negative. i'm only posting this because i know there are a few of ya'll that are interested in bigger setups and need data behind the setup.

list of engine mods

ATP GT3076R
DW 850cc injectors
Grimmspeed 38mm EWG uppipe with tial EWG.
TGV deletes from Grimmspeed
8mm Phenolic Thermal Manifold Spacers from Grimmspeed
3" turboback
Synic equal lengh headers ceramic coated.
GM BCS
ebay catch can
MegaMAF 83mm intake
Perrin 3" inlet
SSAC fmic
i think thats about it for motor mods..

picture of the turbo before installing it.

welded the flapper for my previous ewg setup.

turbo installed and ready.. yeah my engine bay is ugly.

my new intake compared to the older cobb intake.. 83mm ftw!!

and a shot of my car..

what turbo are you running with the ssac fmic? it's effective i can tell you that. this isn't my first turbo upgrade. i had a 18g before this. i know that the fmic craps out after 24psi.

I cant wait to see the results Glad someone has the balls. Lag is overrated when it comes to a well built and tuned scoob. Should spool ok if everything is goes smoothly. Looks like you dont have all the crap that the ricers thing you need. Just the stuff the make a difference. Atleast for engine mods...

Keep us updated.

thats like saying why didn't i get a 20g. trust me i've researched it a lot and went through everybody's data. hands down if i had the money i would've got a rotated gt3076r kit. i've seen some impressive gains with rotated kits on the ej205. is it reliable? probably not but it does put down massive numbers and it's tuned and you drive it right then it should last a decent amount of time.

anyways back to the question.. the atp gt3071r is a 47lb wheel turbo? it's like inbetween a 20g and the green. due to the price difference the 20g and the green would be a better choice hands down. i like the 20g but i rather have a green because why not make a little more power on top for a small price. i've seen some great results on the ej205 with a fpgreen. they all layed down like 360whp on pump gas. thats bad ass..

so i wanted to buy a fpgreen but i ran into this turbo and got it for dirt cheap. cheaper then all of the above mentioned turbos brand new. i've researched and the data stated this turbo is like a fpgreen 7cm with the power of a 8cm. so hell why not? lol we'll see how it goes. it's a good thing we got 93 oct in texas

oooh i cant wait to see what happens. threads like this are actually exciting unlike most others. i know lag sucks but sometimes its the most fun thing when you have to wait all hell breaks loose at one time. at least you wont have to worry about hitting boost when barely easing off the line. i think it could make for a great dd.

If you were just going to weld the wastegate flapper shut why didn't you get the version with the Tial 44mm WG integrated into the exhaust housing? I have one just waiting to be installed in the new year.

i didn't buy mine from a vendor. i bought mine from a private seller and got a damn good deal for it. besides i already had the ewg setup so welding the flapper was a good option for me. i could've fabed up a bracket but i'm lazy.

Should be a fun setup, i ran a 3076r on my 2.0 and made really good power and torque for a super mild tune. Pretty much on my next 2.0 i wont use anything smaller then a 30r.
Good luck @ ur tune!
