Supposedly the legal limit is 35% but im thinking of getting 15% on the four windows and 5 % on the back but im worried about being pulled over and ticketed. of those of you who have tint have you recieved any problems from the police or anything thanks!

They probably won't but could add it on to your speeding ticket or something for example. If you're worried then don't do it. Pay to play.

Where are you from? The legal limit here is 35% but I had 2% on my last vehicle and now on my subie I have 5% over 15% (real dark) and I've never been bothered. All my buddies also have 5% on their's and have never gotten hassled. It depends where your from because as soon as I cross in to California I get pulled over every time.

just tell them that u bought the car with tint already on and weren't aware of the tint laws....some cops will just say to take care of it and let u off with warning.

Out of respect for LE trying to do their jobs don't exceed the legal limit. Imagine you had to walk up to 20 cars a night where you couldn't see in the windows. In fact when you get pulled over you should turn on your dome light or other interior lights so that they can see in your car better. Also it may make your tint look lighter than it is.

I have 18% all around also. I've been pulled over for speeding and the cop didn't even mention about my tint.

my buddy have 5 % on every window but the windshield on his forester. and after 4 years he finally got a ticket and that was california where the front two can only have like 90% on them. Ive had 5% on the rear three and 50% on the front two for about 6 months in cali for about 6 months with no problem. Just roll down your windows when you see a cop what they cant see they cant ticket. and if its raining of whatever i doubt hes going to want to get out of his car and get wet just for a tint ticket. i think your in the clear.

where i live they dont bother you for any tint in the back besides 5% but the front windows where i live have to be clear and i got pulled over for having 35% in the front 3 times the first week i had it and the last cop gave me a option of taking it off or geting the ticket and i took it off and havent put it back on.

Tinting is like exhaust.
It all depends where you live.

Since I live in a small town:
The cops know me so they don't mind my melon shooter and tint.

The police in Spokane won't pull you over for tinting either; lot of ricers and rich people's cadillacs have limo tints.

I find its what you drive and how you drive it.Also if you get pulled over your suppose to have your front windows down and your dome light on and car off.Depending on the mood of the cop and how you react to being pulled over can be a difference from a Tint citation,Tint warning or no tint complaint at all.If your area is anal about it even 35% could possibly give u trouble.

I have 15%. The interior color plays a little role as well. Most states don't care about any window other than the front two and windshield. I've been pulled over twice in the past year so far, just received warnings. When you do get a ticket its just a fix-it or you can pay a small fine and keep it.

I have 15% on the fronts and 5% on the back and I've never had a problem. I've even been pulled over and had cops notice it, but they've never written me a ticket. I still always try to roll down both front windows before they get to the car though, they usually don't notice
