Default Conflicting Information

I have been searching and thought that I found a WRX to buy, but then when I requested more information, some of it had me questioning. Below is the information that was sent to me. What will cause problems (I am fairly sure the BOV will) and how hard/much will it be to correct it. I do not own the car yet, just looking to see if it will be worth my while.

"Thank you for your interest in our 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX TR. We do still have this vehicle in stock. It is practically brand new inside and out. It was a two-owner vehicle. The second owner was an employee of ours who purchased it with around 2000 miles on the odometer. He then sold it back to us when he needed a larger vehicle. It is still under full factory warranty. It comes equipped with TEIN suspension, TEIN exhaust, an HKS blow-off valve, STi titanium shift knob, short-ram air intake, and short-throw shifter. Nothing major was done to this vehicle other than the above-mentioned bolt-ons and the previous owner NEVER drove it hard. Again, it is practically brand new inside and out. "

So what is the word? Good/Bad/Ugly? Cost of repairs?

the BOV wont cause any issues. it causes the same momentary rich spot between shift as the stock BPV but the rich condition is so fast it doesnt affect anything. when i logged my rich condition between shift it only went to 10.5 a/f which is not bad at all.

never heard of tein exhaust...but tein suspension is pretty good

see if they will let you bring it to a private mechanic some one you know. and have it looked over

tein doesn't make exhausts....and if it has coilovers ok, but it prob has s-techs... if it has mods, you really think it wasn't beat on ever in it's life? that doesn;t mean too much tho. look at all of us. most of our cars are fine... i actually don;t rag on mine tho

Buy it and get a different exhaust, spring/strut combo, and stock BPV. It shouldn't be a problem. It probably was driven hard a little bit, but it's pretty stock, so I wouldn't worry about that too much. How much are they asking? Maybe tell them to return it to stock and you'l buy it.

How many miles are currently on the vehicle? If the springs were S-techs, chances are good that your shocks are done and will need to be replaced soon.

Personally, I would stay away from this car, not knowing the real history of it.

If you can't arrange to have it independently and competently evaluated, do no buy it. there are thers out there.

Retaining emotional detatchment from a purchase is key.

The car is listed as having just over 5k miles. Main reason I was watching so hard. I think I am going to walk from it, not totaly comfortable about the car.
