Hey all, It that time to get new tires. Currently i have rota torques with 225/45/17 toyo proxes tires.
I want something alittle beefier and was thinking of getting 245/45/17 or 235/45/17. I do not know if there are any rubbing issues with these sizes. If you know the answer to this, suggestion and pictures, that would be great. Thanks

i have 225/45/17 now, and i like the 45. It fills the wheel gap better and its more of a cushion for the horrible roads here in New Jersey.
I want a beefier look too |

So i will continue to use it |

I would recommend 245/40. The 45 sidewall has poor response and I can feel a delay from what I input in with the steering wheel vs what the car does.

Here is a pic of my wip back in the day with 17x8 +48 wheels and 245/45's. You will need camber adjustment. If i remember correctly, the ride height is ~14"f and 13.5"r. With -2.5 degrees of camber in the front and -1.5 rear.
A friend i race with has a 04 (less room in the rear) and he runs 245/45's aswell with JDM pink springs on stock struts and he fit them but he had to roll his rear fenders. Search S1MPSON and u should be able to find his car. ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() Not an Impreza but clearance isn't an issue at all. I run 255's at the track with no rubbing. |

I'm running a 245/40/17 on the stock sti bbs wheels with no rubbing. Tires are Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs and my car is on stock suspension.

What model and year are you? I'm trying to see if those exact tires will work on an 04 STi. I can only find confirmation that they don't rub on 05+ STis.
