Default 2002 WRB WRX - $6500 obo

SOLD!!!

I'm selling a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX in WRB with 156,000 miles on the clock. It comes with the factory 6 disk in-dash CD changer. It has power locks, power windows, power mirrors, tilt, cruise, and keyless entry. I only have one key and one key fob though.

The good:
The top end was rebuilt at 100,000. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts smoothly. The car has an STi steering rack and kartboy steering rack bushings. It also has KYB AGX adjustable struts with orange (don't know brand, but they do say Japan on them) lowering springs. The cat back was replaced with a 2005 WRX single tip catback, and it has a catless up-pipe. It has a painted front lip and painted fog light covers. It also has the WRX wing.

The bad:
The body is in what I would call rough condition. It went through a hail storm, so there are small dings all over the horizontal surfaces, and a few dings even on the vertical surfaces. The driver's door also has a heavy door ding. All of these are dings though, not dents. The right rear also has a scrape in it. The passenger seat has a stain in it, but isn't very noticeable under typical lighting conditions. The photo with flash exaggerates it. Although the engine runs great and the transmission shifts smooth, the clutch is not ideal. A misunderstanding led to a racing clutch being installed. The clutch works just fine, but is very ‘grabby’ and requires more thought and effort than a stock clutch. The air conditioner works, but does not blow ice cold, like many WRX’s. The compressor is weak.

The different:
I have chosen to leave a lot of items as-is due to the mileage and condition of the vehicle. For a small fee, I can replace them though (including the AC compressor). I have 2 other WRX’s at home and many parts. It is a hobby, not a business. I can change out the intake, exhaust, suspension, and even load staged maps on the stock ECU. I am not a tuner, but if you purchase a map, I can load it into the car using my Tactrix cable. This isn’t an offer to do other vehicles, but if you’re interested in purchasing this one, and want some mods done, I can do it to help the sale at cost of parts only.

I can be contacted at ferg5162@yahoo.com or 281-686-0965. I work off I-45 and Richey Rd from 7-5 and live off Kuykendahl and the Woodlands Pkwy. I'd be willing to meet up or deliver as far as Dallas, Austin, etc.

Thanks for looking,
Rob

it also has the bumper and fenders from a wagon, did you change that or was it like that when you bought it?

Good eye. I changed it. The bumper that was on it was all scratched up, and the fenders looked like they had been beat to death. One more so than the other. I happened to have wagon parts, so I just used them to make it look nice.

edit: For anyone looking to buy this, I still have the fenders and bumper. I can show them to you to prove that the car wasn't totaled or anything like that.

That makes you the third person to inquire about owner financing. In your case, I can tell its a joke. The other guys were serious though. I am not nearly as wealthy as a bank. If a bank isn't willing to bet on you, then I sure don't have the bones to make that bet. Although... is your 95 a 2 door by any chance?

^ Yeah, I was joking, if a bank doesn't trust someone with a $6500 loan, then you shouldn't either

It's a 4-door I've done some work on it though, most notably, the suspension; she's almost 500 lbs. lighter than a WRX

I was thinking about going to my bank, mainly to consolidate a few things by taking out a loan at a lower interest rate. Still tossing the idea a bit though.

The hail dings are definitely noticeable on a sunny day, but are kind of hard to see on a cloudy day. They're next to impossible to see if its rainy. Because people keep asking about the hail and scrape, here are some more pics.

I can definitely vouch for this car! I test drove it yesterday and it runs great, like rob mentioned it has the 100k rebuilt service. I was suprised when the turbo spooled up early and quickly, soon found out, catless UP!! .. Awesome car with an awesome price. Good luck sir's.

ps. Rob I almost stalled it on the first go, lol that clutch is quite GRABBY!!
