Default P0134 CEL - again?! Need advice on what went wrong

I had this CEL pop up on me back in summer after 88k kms on the car, so I figured front O2 was shot - I changed it, everything went back to normal for 2 months that I drove the car

now the car has been sitting in my garage for 4 months, and I finally took it out this past weekend, made some adjustments for winter and calibrated OL MAF

now, as I was driving back home today, put the car under load (6th gear) the CEL pops out again! I come back home, read it - P0134, front O2 not responding!

Can the sensor die after 2 months of usage? It was new when I bought it, moreover it had to come from japan since my car is twinscroll and it goes in the DP
So because it costs arm and a leg, I don't feel like changing them every other month
My EGTs are adequate (max 780c, EGT probe in DP) so it couldn't have burned, right?

erasing CEL doesn't help, comes back on, and I know I can't disable it since ECU makes adjustments to CL relying on it

Not sure what setup you have, but I had the same problem, and it ended up being a lose connection at the ECU (the UTEC in my case). I was able to watch the dashboard on the UTEC and wiggle the connection and I could see the O2 readings fluctuate.

hm, didn't think about that
I know O2 goes directly to ECU, so I will check there, thanks

what's weird is that CEL dissappeared again, so I don't know when it will pop up again

wiring....plug...ground issue???
