Default Bose QuietComfort 3 headphones

Just got a set of these as a prize for working with Dell so well in our vendor/partner deals.

Well I'm impressed. I would have never bought a set of $300+ headphones, let alone $100+ headphones.

For SQ I have no clue. But all signs and reviews point to it being mediocre.

But from a noise canceling standpoint, the background hum of florescent lights and computer fan noise are all gone and even my breathing sounds that are more prominent with headphones on, are lessened by a significant measure. That is all.

I thought I would brag a bit on getting it for free for doing virtually nothing on my part other than my jerb. And to let people know who travel a lot, that these things really do remove a good bulk of ambient noise.

Indeed. I'm very anti-Bose for the most part, but they do seem to have gotten the noise canceling technology down pretty well with positive reviews all over.

It's like MS and their hardware, it's something that they do very well even though it's not their core business.

If you could actually hear a good set of $300, you'd toss those in the garbage can. I guess it's nice you didn't pay anything for them though.

For Bose, that would be advertising.

MS actually makes great gear and it has been a part of their business for decades.
