Default 245/35/18 +48 w/ Tein S. techs ok??

i have a 2002 wrx that's going to dropped on tein S. techs very soon and i am getting wheels with a +48 offset. i'm in the market for new tires and was wondering if 245/35/18 would be ok?? thanks

o and are 8 inch wide wheels ok or should i go 8.5 with 245????

your most likely gonna rub... i made the mistake of buying stechs... ran -1.7 camber in the front and got rub... ON STOCK TIRES

You will rub, s-techs are junk and 245 would probably be ok with an 8" wide wheel.

is going to be a really tight fit, I ran your same set up with 235's and it was a really, really tight fit. I got on my car Progress Technology springs

If his preference is to kill his handling characteristics, blow his struts and look foolish then you're right there is no need to bash on him

All joking aside, that tire will be fine on that wheel. The spring combo is the unknown factor. personally I'd sell the S-Tech's right quick and get a proper spring.

H tech's on a wagon with 17x8.5 with 245 and 255 40 didnt rub after rolling the fenders. S techs ARE different though......so i realy dont have much more to offer to the OP , except probably, if more than a few nasioc 'specialists/gurus' are saying the same information, I would tend to believe them.

oh, i liked the feel of the h-tech ride.
