Your car is my inspiration. Hopefully by April I'll be getting in to an STi and eventually come close to what you have created, maybe. Haha. Seriously though, incredible looking car. Flawless.

Thanks!! I really want the black console. The cheapest i can find it is like 500 shipped and that's imported from Japan.

dude just take it apart and paint it. if you really want the look, without the fear of damaging your current console, use Plastidip. feels a little odd and it doesnt clean super well, but you get the look and if you ever want to reverse the console, you can literally peel it off.

i did that the first time, got sick of **** sticking to the plastidip (hard to clean) so i ended up peeling it and making the paint more permanent. no reason to go back. the black is much better over stock.

why pay $500+ when you can do it yourself for $20?

its really hard to mess up. go light on the coats... let dry, go light on more coats, let dry... go over it like 10 times until its nice and even. its really hard to mess up...

i used black vinyl dye paint. find it in an auto store or where the sell paint.

people mess up painting things when they load on the first few coats. key is to keep them light so the paint doesnt run.
