used to use plastidip on everything. while great for what it is, i dont like the texture of it. and since its rubbery, its a PITA to keep clean, everything sticks to it. i have no problem repainting the lip once or twice a year. no biggie for me. in fact, i wish i could repaint my entire front end on a yearly basis.
once plastidip is finally dry (after a few coats)...give it a light sand to get rid of the texture. then apply a few clear coats. i have used this method on some interior trim pieces and it works well.

and i agree with liking Jags shots. glad he was able to make it out

i have an almost identical mod list except the 20g and im thinking about making the switch.
i dig the 20g over the stock VF. i do not daily drive my car anymore. its just a weekend warrior now. i havent checked my mpg's in a long time, but if my heavy right foot tells me anything, its that i get poor gas mileage. id say like 18ish lol

Thanks JE.

hmmm, interesting technique for plastidip. might have to give it a shot next time. only thing i dont like about it is that dirt sticks to it like tape. which i guess the sanding and clear coating would eliminate that issue for the most part.

haha yes. trust me man, lots of thought went into it before deciding on white. if i daily drove the car, id probably go with a black or something darker.

Ahh, so jealous of the white! I love the white, but I daily my car. I think if I did white, I'd go carbon pads, and then what else? What helps you keep those bad boys clean? Maybe I should wait till I get a dd. As always, your car is too clean. Looks awesome!

hehe Thanks man.

yea i have ferodo racing pads (dust producing nightmares ) buttttttt, i use a special wheel wax that i picked up from a detailer shop. honestly, without it, it would be a nightmare to keep em clean. the wax on the wheels definitely helps.

would i rock white on a daily car, hell no. lol. only reason i opted for it is because i dont drive it all the time. so i hear you on that! Thanks again for the compliments.

slowly but surely. all the mods i have left are the really expensive ones. lol. ie, coilovers (i want KWv3's) and motor build.. they are the only other two mods i have in mind for future mods.

would like to eventually have the car in the 400-440whp range. but again, thats gonna cost, so i wanna prepare for it and do it all at once - the right way (probably like FP Green with methanol set up or something similar)

not going to happen for awhile though. camera gear funds are equally as costly

Thanks for building your car to what it is! Haha. Definitely couldn't get any cleaner. I need to grasp the concept that mods take time. Haha, I rush things, and then become broke.

because i am lucky enough to own more than one car. (well at least have a car to daily drive)...

question is, who in their right mind, would want to keep tacking on miles to their precious subaru if they dont have to?

thats why. there ARE people that own cars that dont daily them. l

my question to you, Jeff, who buys a TURBO'd Subaru, and NEVER takes it into boost? YOU DO!!!

It still baffles me having a car that you are paying for (maybe not a car payment but insurance payment) and you are going to drive it a few times a month. I personally don't understand... but whatever.

Some people are still making car payments on their subaru and drive it a few times...

i understand for many people this would be a problem. but if you are struggling/worried to make insurance & car payments, maybe you should have purchased a cheaper car than a subaru?

luckily, i have been gifted with a decent living and a stable job. also not being married or having kids helps...

Jeff, you are a hater. and yes, your driving habits have just as much to do with this as me not driving my car that much. some people may argue you spent all this money for a subaru and high insurance cost, you better drive it like you stole it....

you know, you could have bought a NA CIVIC, and saved some bucks. clearly you dont need a turbo model, you dont use it! lol
