^I wish I was you and had a second transmission lying around... I broke 2nd again. I`m bummed I missed seeing you at the NORA event, I had a couple buddies told me you were heading down to it for the AutoX but I was still in Cali at the time! Good luck with everything!

I need to get diffs. I had trouble putting down power all over course Sunday with 245 R-comps (yeah, I know...small tires.

). I don't know how to install them though, so for me it'd be a big investment.

Since It looks like I'll be down Saturday (looking at current weather forecast) we can compare notes and I can tell you exactly how easy it is. Of course I may be a bit surly cause I'll be leaving Toledo at 3:30 a.m.

But yeah diffs and the r-comps are the single biggest difference in my car.....yummy!

You also have the benefit of a press, a spare trans, and a spare car. I have 1 car for everything!

Sometimes I forget about that.

You just rebuilt your motor so I know you got skills....

Still you wouldn't need a press for the diffs.

I'd say the front you could do in a saturday and/or sunday. The rear you could do in an afternoon.

You wouldn't be able to wipe the smile from your face afterwards.

I read page 1 again. How would I get around needing a press? Have a shop put new bearings on? I've never had a trans or rear end apart and it's a bit daunting to me. Then again, I said the same thing about engine building a year ago and that ended up ok (I think...only has 1300 miles on it).

I should have my back-up diff Friday. Even though the case is already split I'll do the diff with out the press and update the 1st page.

You could have a shop do it for 5 bucks or you could use pry bar, sockets and hammer.

It was fun but I wasn't a big fan the 45 car rolling grid.
